The event is free to attend and you don’t have to register, just turn up on the day and enjoy the fun! We will be hosting a range of activities throughout the day for your to enjoy with your families and friends. Activities include:
- A performance by Coventry Belgrade’s Arts Gymnasium
- The National Vamos theatre group, celebrating ageing and use of theatre for training for health professionals and for communicating health messages
- Move it or lose it, as featured on the BBC documentary of the same name
- Local musicians from Tin Arts Music and a performance from the Noteables.
- Friendships cafés

Monday 2nd October
on Monday, we’re inviting researchers, businesses and health professionals and locale citizens to attend a one-day conference. Not only will the day include many of the aforementioned activities, it also features keynotes from West Midlands Academic Health Science Network, the Chief Executive of the Combined Authority, Dr William Bird MBE and other talks throughout the day.
Workshops will include developing ideas around health innovation from IBM, Open Citizens workshop with Ludic Rooms, Lego creative play to understands the ageing journey and many others.

Welcome to Coventry Life Festival
Join us for free, fun-filled activities to celebrate life in the city!
As part of Coventry becoming an Age Friendly City we’re getting ready to welcome the first festival of its kind to the city, supported by The European Commission EIT Health programme.
Coventry Life Festival is a free two-day festival. On Sunday, October 1st, every family in Coventry is invited to learn about the art of growing old, and the best part is, there’s no need to book! Just turn up on the day and bring your family and friends with you, whatever their age, and help bridge the generation gap.
On the following day, Monday the 2nd October, we will hold a conference with active citizens, council workers, health professionals, entrepreneurs and scientists. Together we’ll investigate creative solutions to Coventry’s challenges, co-produce an agenda for the near future and meet people to help realise an Age Friendly City together.
Join us for a fun event unlike no other for the chance to explore active ageing in fun and exciting ways!

Where to find us
The festival is being held at Fargo Village.
There are free shuttle buses running from Pool Meadow Bus Station from Stand F, and Coventry University multi-story carpark from 11:00-16:30, with free parking available here during the day.
